2006-07:

Redshirted the cross country season last year and ran track at BYU before transferring to Tennessee for the 2007 fall semester...

2005 AT BYU:

Posted a career-best finish of 39th at the NCAA Championship meet in 20:32.8 as BYU came in eighth...Placed fourth at the regional meet in 21:03.3 and earned All-Mountain Region accolades for the second straight season as the Cougars placed second...She won the Mountain West Conference Championship meet in a league-record time of 20:42.4 to spur BYU to its second consecutive MWC trophy...That effort earned her MWC Runner of the Year acclaim and All-MWC status for the second year in a row...Placed 32nd at the Pre-National meet in 20:59.9...Opened the year at the Great American-Nike Race of Champions and placed fifth in 17:17.3...

2004:

Posted a 58th-place finish in her first NCAA Championship meet, covering the distance in 21:48 as BYU filled the eighth spot in the team standings...Placed sixth at the NCAA Mountain Regional in 20:52.8 to earn All-Mountain Region honors during the Cougars' runner-up outcome...Earned Mountain West Conference Freshman of the Year and All-MWC first-team honors after finishing third at the MWC Championships in 22:01 as BYU won the title...Placed 24th at Pre-Nationals meet with a time of 21:16.4...Finished 18th at the Great America meet in 17:51.7...

HIGH SCHOOL:

Lettered four times in cross country and track at Mountain View High School...Two-time state runner-up in cross country...Placed second at the Foot Locker West Regional and sixth at Foot Locker Nationals her junior year of high school...Was ninth at the Foot Locker West Regional as a senior and 10th as a sophomore...On the track, she was a 14-time state champion, going undefeated in any individual events at the state meet throughout her career...Left high school as the Utah record-holder in the 400m, 800m and DMR for both 4A and 5A...Also held state record in the 4x400m relay and anchored a national-record distance medley relay team as a senior...Two-time indoor national champion in the 800m and DMR...Recorded fastest prep 800m time in the nation in 2002...Four time all-region choice on the track and named to academic all-region team four times...Spent three years in MVHS Chamber and Acapella Choirs...

PERSONAL:

Heidi is majoring in music with emphasis in vocal performance...Enjoys singing, hiking, camping and reading in her spare time...Aspires to one day compete in the Olympics...Has eight siblings...Heidi Magill was born in Provo, Utah, on Feb. 15, 1986...She became Heidi Magill-Dahl on June 30, 2007, when she wed David Dahl...He is attending medical school at East Tennessee State University...Her parents are Michael and Nancy Magill.
