HIGH SCHOOL: Was a four-time indoor and outdoor track & field letterwinner in high school...She picked up five All-America citations as a prep and was ranked among the nation's leaders in the 400 meters coming out of Eleanor Roosevelt High School in Greenbelt, Md...As a senior, she won the indoor state title in the 500 meters and ran on the victorious 4x400m relay quartet...Outdoors, she claimed the 400m state crown and ran on the first-place 4x400m and 4x800m relay squads, setting a state record in the latter...She was selected all-metro both indoors and out...As a junior, Antoinette claimed the indoor 500m state title and was on ERHS's victorious 4x400m relay unit...Outdoors, she was the 400m state champ and once again took part in a first-place 4x4 effort...She earned all-state status for those performances...Additionally, she took third at the USATF Junior Olympics and was fifth at the Foot Locker Championships in the 400 meters...As a sophomore, she picked up all-state honors in New Jersey after taking second in the 400m for Passaic High School...She helped PHS win a New Jersey Group IV Section I title with that result...Other accomplishments included a runner-up finish in the 400m at the Meet of Champions and a ninth-place effort at the Foot Locker meet...Her prep bests included 54.32 in the 400m, 24.53 in the 200m and 1:15.01 for 500 meters.
PERSONAL: Antoinette is majoring in social work...She has five siblings: twin Anthony Jr., 20; Candace, 14; Antwan, 13; Aaron, 12; and Amanda, 10...Antoinette S. Gorham was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Dec. 30, 1983...Her parents are Anthony Gorham Sr. and Sharon L. Utsey.
