2004: Collected NCAA All-South Region acclaim for the third time in as many seasons, as her 21:57.80 effort over 6,000 meters was good for 25th place at the regional gathering...Was part of a record group of five Lady Vols who earned all-region status at that meet...Finished as UT's number-five scorer and crossed the line 18th overall in 21:40.57 over 6K as Tennessee won its second straight SEC Championship...Had an uncharacteristic showing at the NCAA Championships, as she dropped out of the race just moments after the start and did not finish...Logged a 5K career best of 17:45 at the season-opening Mel Brodt Invitational to place third overall and second among Big Orange competitors...Took fourth and was the home team's second scorer in 18:13.53 at the 5K Tennessee Invitational...Crossed the line ninth and was her squad's number-two contributor in 21:10.06 at the 6K Paul Short Run...Scored in fifth position and was 72nd overall in 21:51.3 at the 6K ISU Pre-Nationals meet...Again took care of her book work, snagging SEC Academic Honor Roll and Lady Vol Honor Roll status for the third consecutive year.

PERSONAL PROFILE

HIGH SCHOOL: Was a four-year member of the cross country team at West and ran track two seasons...Capped her prep career by winning the state AAA title in 18:19...Also claimed a regional championship in 18:10 and a Knoxville Interscholastic League crown in 18:16...For the latter accomplishment, she was selected KIL Runner of the Year...Aided former UT teammate Christy Baird and company as West won the state team title in 1998...Also helped set pace for KIL team victories that season and in 2000...She collected All-KIL status for her efforts as a junior...On the track, Megan was the KIL runner-up in the 3200m as a senior, but she rebounded to seize the region and state titles at the distance...Also swam as a freshman on West's state title squad...In addition to her athletic prowess, Megan was class salutatorian as well as a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, National Honor Society and student council at WHS.

PERSONAL: Megan is majoring in studio art with a focus on watercolor...Her mother and father are UT graduates, and her great grandfather was Dr. W.J. Ellis of Ellis and Ernest Drug Store, a business that was once located on the current site of UT's Carolyn Brown Student Center...Megan Marie Cauble was born in Butte, Mont., on Dec. 6, 1983...She has an older sister, Beth, 24...Their parents are Dan and Ellyn Cauble.
