PATRICK ON POWE
"Farren came into our program as more of a raw athlete than an experienced volleyball player. After going through our weight training program this off-season she gained more than four inches in her vertical jump. We will need Farren on the court in some form to allow our team to play against the top teams in the country. She is an elite athlete who can compete at the net against anyone. She can give us a presence that we wouldn't necessarily have without her. She has become a more versatile hitter, taking swings as both an outside and middle hitter. We will try to use her in a variety of roles offensively this season."
2006 (FRESHMAN):
Played in five matches during her freshman campaign...Earned the first starting nod of her collegiate debut against Lehigh on Sept. 9 at the Pitt Invitational...Had a very successful start with nine kills and just one error in 17 attempts for a .471 hitting percentage...Also recorded four blocks in the contest...Recorded a kill in both the Lady Vols' match at Florida on Oct. 1 and home contest against Georgia on Oct. 8.
