2001:
Hester enjoyed her most productive year with the Lady Vols in 2001…She played in all 100 of UT's games, the second year in a row that she appeared in every frame for the Lady Vols…She earned second-team All-SEC recognition for the second straight season…Hester's stellar year earned her the opportunity to train with the USA Volleyball National A2 program in Colorado Springs, Colo., this past July…Only 12 athletes from around the country were selected to participate with the program…She was only the third Lady Vol to receive this prestigious invitation…All-American Beverly Robinson and April Chapple were the other two…She led the team in kills with 436…She finished sixth in the SEC in kills per game with 3.86…Hester also led the team in attacks with 1,030…The junior recorded single-game career-bests in kills (35), attacks (62), assists (2), aces (1) and digs (17)…Her season totals of 436 kills, 1,030 attacks, two service aces and 123 digs were all career highs as well…Her 35 kills against Marquette on Nov. 23 tied her with Tamala Brightman for the fifth-best performance in school history…Hester's total of 35 kills was also a record for the Lady Vols in Stokely Athletics Center…The Davenport, Iowa, native picked up all-tourney honors at the Indiana University Blimpie/Holiday Inn Classic…Placed third in the SEC in kills per game at 4.36…Hester finished eight matches with a hitting percentage at or above .400 and hit at .300 or better in 13 matches…She led the Lady Vols in kills in 15 of the team's 27 matches…The junior had double-digit kills in all but three contests…Hester also posted three double-doubles on the season with kills and digs…With 945 career kills, Hester stands only 104 shy of placing in the top 10 in school history…She is also 436 attacks away from moving into the top 10 in Lady Vol history.

2000:
Hester enjoyed a phenomenal sophomore season and was the only Lady Vol to play in every one of the team's 119 games…She earned second-team All-SEC status for her efforts…Hester ranked second on the team and eighth in the SEC in hitting percentage as she swung away at a .329 clip…She was second on the team in hitting percentage, blocks and kills…Hester averaged 3.30 kills and .96 blocks per game…The sophomore recorded 21 matches with double-digit kill-performances…She recorded a team-high 114 blocks on the season…Hester began the season with a stellar September as she opened and closed the month with a string of six matches with double-digit kill tallies…Her efforts earned her SEC Player of the Week honors for the period ending Sept. 25…Additionally, Hester was named the first edSouth Lady Vol Athlete of the Month…Hitting better than .400 in two of the three Lady Vol matches in the Miami-JustBalls.com Classic in Oxford, Ohio, earned Hester a spot on the All-Tournament squad as her team took home the title…She recorded a career-high 23 kills against Virginia Tech on Sept. 26…Hester boasted a career-high nine blocks in the Orange and White's tight loss to Cincinnati on Nov. 25…Voted the team's Most Improved Player by her teammates.

1999:
Hester played in all 32 matches…Opened the season hitting at a .571 spree against Radford on Sept. 1…Posted a career-high 11 kills against Lehigh on Sept. 18…Averaged 1.2 kills per game and 3.6 kills per match on the season.

HIGH SCHOOL:
Hester was an all-state selection and conference player of the year her senior season at Davenport Central…She led the Mississippi Athletic Conference in kills and was fourth in blocks during her final prep season…Finished third in the state in kills in 1998 while averaging nearly six (5.57) kills per game…A first-team all-conference selection in 1998, Hester holds the Davenport Central record for career kills…A team co-captain her senior season, she participated in the Iowa Coaches Association Volleyball Classic in November 1998…Earned four letters in volleyball, three in basketball and two in track…As a sophomore she was ranked fourth in the state in kills while earning All-MAC and fourth-team all-state laurels…Led the MAC in scoring in basketball as a senior en route to earning first-team all-state honors…Selected as one of the Quad City area's top high school athletes in 1998…Has been a member of the ILOWA Volleyball Club since 1997.
