HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Nashville School of the Arts but competed athletically at Martin Luther King, which was the state Class A-AA runner-up in track & field in 2009...Finished sixth in the 1600m and eighth in 800m at the 2009 state meet...Best 5K cross country time is 20:27.90, which she ran in finishing seventh at the 2008 TSSAA Class A-AA state meet...She became the first woman from MLK to earn all-state honors in cross country...Was All-Metro and All-City in 2007 and 2008, and All-Mid-State in 2008 as well...Owns MLK records for 1600m, 3200m and 5K...Member of National Honor Society and named Math Student of the Year in 2009...Plays viola and was a member of the Mid-State Orchestra in 2007 and 2008 and was all-district and all-region in orchestra in 2005 and 2006 while living in Texas.
