  • AT TENNESSEE:

    2005: For the second straight year, Brooke earned All-America acclaim, doing so as part of Tennessee's distance medley relay...Ran leadoff leg as that group took seventh at the NCAA Championships in 11:15.21, the third-best time in UT annals...Anchored the DMR to its second straight SEC Championship victory, with that group covering the distance in 11:40.94...Also ran on victorious efforts at the Penn State and Powered by Tyson Invitationals...The latter's time of 11:17.28 ranks number five at Tennessee...Individually, she focused on the mile and 3000 meters...After winning the SEC 3K and taking fourth in the mile as a sophomore, she ran only the mile at conference in 2005 and grabbed second in 4:55.70...Season best of 4:50.06 came at the Penn State Invitational...Logged only one 3000m race on the schedule, a 9:54.59 reading at the Virginia Tech Invite...Outdoors, Brooke was once again an SEC scorer in the 1500 meters but did not make a return trip to the NCAA Championships...Her 4:29.80 pace in the 1500m at the conference championships produced a sixth-place finish...A 4:38.43 marker in the NCAA Mideast Regional 1500m prelims ended her campaign...Ran a victorious season-best of 4:26.82 at the Gatorade Classic...Handled the 800 meters and 5000 meters as well at SECs but was 27th at the longer distance in 18:11.63 and did not make the finals in the two-lapper after logging a 2:15.34 result...Did run a career-best half-mile time of 2:08.95, however, at the Gatorade Classic...Relay duty included anchoring the DMR to second at the Sea Ray Relays in 11:27.44 and holding down the second leg on a runner-up 4x800m clocking of 8:59.62 at the same meet...Was part of a sixth-place 4x8 (8:40.24) and seventh-place DMR (11:26.79) at Penn Relays...Also ran on third-place 4x1500m relay (18:19.18) at Florida Relays that charted the number-three reading in UT history.

    2004: Became an SEC and NCAA champion and acquired her first All-America certificate during the indoor season...National title came in the distance medley relay, on which she ran the opening 1200-meter leg and jump-started UT on its way to a reading of 11:06.07 and the program's first NCAA crown in that event...Also popped off for the DMR at SECs, springing that quartet to a conference-meet-record time of 11:16.61 and UT's first win in that race at the league meet...Likewise started the proceedings at the Penn State National Open, where the Big Orange DMR blazed to a school-best 11:03.42 readout en route to victory...Anchored yet another DMR lineup to glory at the SEC Invitational...Individually, Brooke seized first in the 3000 meters at the SEC gathering, clicking off nearly a 25-second career best of 9:27.94 to win...She remained unbeaten in that event indoors as a collegian and ranked fifth on UT's all-time performers list...Contributed fourth-place points to the team in the mile at SECs as well, covering the distance in a 4:42.64 showing that was just off her career apex...Won at the Razorback-Tyson Invitational with a PR 4:42.28 and at the Penn State National Open in 4:48.98...Stood fourth on UT's all-time indoor performers chart in that event...Outdoors, Brooke was a big-points scorer for Tennessee at the SEC Championships...She turned in a career-best 4:19.61 readout to place third in the 1500 meters...Took sixth at the NCAA Mideast Regional in 4:24.09 and earned her first trip to the NCAA Outdoor Championships...Produced a 4:31.68 effort in the NCAA prelims and did not advance to the finals...Came up with top career clockings in two other events, running 2:09.64 to take sixth in the 800 meters at the Gatorade Classic and placing second in the 3000 meters at the Sea Ray Relays in 9:35.86...On baton duty, Brooke had a hand in two Penn Relays Championships of America...Ran her customary opener on the distance medley relay as Tennessee triumphed in 10:59.35 to chart the third fastest time in program annals...Filled the third leg of the Lady Vols' victorious 4x800m effort at Penn Relays, assisting with a time of 8:21.13 that was just a second off the collegiate record...That performance rates number two all-time at Tennessee.

    2003: Produced points for Team Orange in her initial SEC Indoor Championships appearance, collecting seventh-place honors with a time of 4:51.66 in the mile...Ran opening leg on UT's 11:54.84, seventh-place distance medley relay at SECs...Won her debut individual race as a Lady Vol, boarding a time of 9:58.77 in the 3000 meters at the SEC Challenge...Made it an undefeated season in the indoor 3K when she rolled to victory in a then-personal-best 9:52.13 at the Gator Invitational...Plated a season-topper in the mile at the Armory Collegiate Invitational, circling the historic banked oval in 4:51.37 to place eighth...Outdoors, Brooke was a two-event scorer at the SEC meet...Ripped off a season-best 4:23.13 to finish fifth in the mile at the league gathering...Also recorded a personal record of 17:06.01 to wind up sixth in the 5000 meters at the conference shindig in Knoxville...Was 11th in the open division of the mile at the Mt. SAC Relays in a then-PR 4:26.25...Qualified for the NCAA Mideast Regional in the mile but did not advance to the finals after running a 4:30.44 in the prelims...Was a key contributor to the outdoor DMR, providing the 800m leg for a victorious 11:19.19 effort at the Sea Ray Relays...Ran the opening 1200 meters on Lady Vols' 11:13.38, fourth-place tandem at Penn Relays...Named to the Lady Vol Academic Honor Roll for the first time.

    2002: Brooke battled shin injuries as a freshman and redshirted the indoor and outdoor campaigns...In her only action of the year with the Lady Vols, she anchored the distance medley relay to victory at the Kentucky Invitational in 12:15.34.

    HIGH SCHOOL:

    Brooke was one of the most highly-recruited distance runners in the country as a senior at Kaukauna High School...Was a two-time Track & Field News All-American in the mile...Ranked second in the nation at that distance as a senior and fifth as a junior...Was named the 2000 and 2001 Wisconsin Gatorade Track & Field Athlete of the Year...Broke Suzy Favor-Hamilton's 1985 Wisconsin high school record for 1600m with a time of 4:48.13 as a junior and set the mark again as a senior with a reading of 4:43.20 for her third-consecutive state title in the event...Also claimed the 3200m state crown in 2000 and 2001, finishing in 10:17.07 as a senior with one of the top 10 clockings in the nation...Brooke was first-team all-conference for four years in track and cross country...Earned six state titles and finished the 1999 season undefeated at both the 1600 and 3200 meters...Won state cross country championship in 2000 with a new 4K state record of 14:11...Three-time sectional champion in cross country and six-time sectional champ in track...Helped Kaukauna Ghosts to the state track title in 2001 and a runner-up outcome the season before...Also posted a third-place finish at nationals with the 4x800m relay team...Was the Appleton Post-Crescent Athlete of the Year three times in cross country and track & field...Four-year member of the honor roll at KHS...Also was named to the all-state academic team in track and cross country.
