CAREER HIGHLIGHTS: Two-time member of SEC Academic Honor Roll.

2010: Honors - Named to SEC Academic Honor Roll and earned the Lady Vol Spirit Award...Indoors - Worked on transitioning to a long hurdler as a junior, so she ran the open 400 indoors...Lowered her time to 58.27 in the process...Participated in the SEC meet but wasn't able to move beyond the preliminary round...Outdoors - Ran the 400m hurdles four times, improving to 1:02.23 at the Tennessee Invitational...Competed at the SEC meet but did not advance.

2009: Honors - Named to SEC Academic Honor Roll...Indoors - Competed in the SEC Indoor pentathlon and posted a career-best score of 3,177...Lowered her 60m hurdle time to 8.91 in the pentathlon at the league meet and finished eighth in that event...Threw the shot a career-best 29-4 in the SEC pent....Was sixth in the pent. 800m at 2:28.70...Outdoors - Missed the entire outdoor season due to injury.

2008: Indoors - Jená walked on to the team and spent the indoor season trying to find her place...Outdoors - During the outdoor season, the coaching staff worked her at several events and thought she might have a future as a heptathlete due to the way she took to the hurdles...Made her debut in the hept. at the SEC Championships, turning in a respectable 13th-place finish with 4,186 points...Finished third in the 800m event with a time of 2:24.47...She recorded first-time marks in six of the seven heptathlon events at the conference meet...Did well academically, continuing a 4.00 grade point average...As a non-freshman first-year athlete, however, she was not eligible for any SEC academic honors.

HIGH SCHOOL: Participated in track, soccer, volleyball and cheerleading during her high school days at Germantown...Had a prep career best of 15.37 seconds in the 100-meter hurdles to finish in fourth place at the 2006 TSSAA Class AAA Section 4 meet...Placed ninth at the 2006 TSSAA AAA State Championship Meet in the 100-met hurdles, charting a time of 15.77 against a 2.5 meters per second headwind...A member of National Honor Society and Beta Club at GHS...Was president of the 56th Kappa Alpha Psi Debutante Presentation and was involved with Gamma Sigma Sigma, Phi Eta Sigma and National Society of Collegiate Scholars.
