2011: Honors - Named to SEC Academic Honor Roll for the third time...Indoors - Saw action in only one meet, running 2:25.50 in the 800m at the Texas A&M Challenge...Outdoors - Competed in two events outdoors, carding an 800m season best of 2:24.25 at the Sea Ray Relays.

2010: Honors - Named to SEC Academic Honor Roll...Indoors - Did not compete due to injury...Outdoors - Did not compete.

2009: Honors - Named to SEC Academic Honor Roll...Indoors - Recorded PRs every time she ran the 800, settling at 2:21.19 in the prelims of the SEC Championships...Outdoors - Made the travel squad for the SEC Outdoor Championships...Recorded her outdoor personal record in the 800 at the Tennessee Invitational (2:18.44).

HIGH SCHOOL: Ran track and cross country all four seasons at Ripley High School...Captained the squads in two of those years...Was a cheerleader for two seasons...Qualified for the state track & field championships in her first three seasons...Placed fourth in the 800m as a freshman in 2:21.24...Came in ninth in that event in 2006 and eighth in 2007...Also finished third at the state meet as a freshman in the 400 meters in 59.79...Competed at the club level with the AAU Capital City Striders...Posted a finish of fifth in the 800 meters at the 2004 USATF/AAU National Championships and placed seventh in 2003 and 2005...Career best times include 2:16 for 800 meters, 59.1 for 400 meters and 5:30 for 1600 meters...Finished 20th at the West Virginia State AAA Cross Country Championships as a freshman, covering the 5,000-meter distance in a personal record of 20:15.

PERSONAL: Born Jan. 6, 1990, in Morgantown, W.Va....Majoring in biological sciences...Parents are Stephen and Melinda Knotts...Has a younger brother, Bradley...Came to UT in the inaugural 15-member class of Haslam Scholars, a premier honors program aimed at attracting the nation's top students to campus...She joins teammate Elizabeth Tiller in that esteemed group.
