UT CAREER HIGHLIGHTS: Three-time USTFCCCA Indoor All-American (twice with DMR, once with 4x400mR)...Two-time NCAA champion with distance medley relay team (2008, 2009)...World indoor record-holder with DMR (10:50.98), which also broke American, collegiate, NCAA meet and school records in 2009....Four-time SEC scorer with 4x100m and 4x400m relay teams.

2009: Ran 400-meter leg for Tennessee's sensational distance medley relay unit, which twice set impressive records...Helped that quartet win its second straight NCAA title with a 10:50.98 world, American, collegiate, NCAA meet and UT-best effort in College Station, Texas...Earlier in the season, she joined a victorious DMR tandem at the New Balance Collegiate Invitational in New York for a 10:56.40 count that broke every mark except the world standard...Also contributed to Tennessee's SEC scoring relays indoors (4x400mR, 5th) and outdoors (4x100mR, 3rd; 4x400mR, 4th)...She did not compete individually as she dealt with issues related to off-season surgery on her legs.

2008: Brittany flashed her talents during the indoor season before redshirting the outdoor campaign to have surgery on her legs...Helped Tennessee win a national championship and set a then-school record in the distance medley relay at the NCAA Indoor meet...Ran the 400m hitch as UT cruised to a time of 11:01.97...Picked up her second USTFCCCA All-America nod by handling the stick on the Lady Volunteers' eighth-place NCAA Indoor 4x400m relay unit...That quartet checked in at 3:35.85...Posted career indoor bests in the 60m and 200m dashes...She ran 7.54 to win her preliminary heat at the Kentucky Invitational...Finished seventh in the invitational division of the 200m dash at the Penn State National meet, clicking to a 24.32 readout...Helped the Big Orange 4x4 also collect third-place honors at the SEC Indoor meet in 3:37.26.

HIGH SCHOOL: Highly-touted All-America sprinter at Deerfield Beach High School...Burst onto the national scene as a sophomore when she posted an impressive trio of top-three finishes at the 2005 Nike Outdoor Championships in her first year of competing in track & field...Won the 400m with a U.S.-leading and meet-record time of 52.44...Took second in the 200m with a No. 2 U.S. clocking of 23.13...For good measure, she snagged third in the 100m dash in 11.63 to chart her third career best of the meet...Lowered her PR in the straight sprint to 11.60 at the 2006 Broward County Championships...Represented the U.S. at the 2005 Pan Am Junior Championships, earning a gold medal in the 4x400m relay and clocking a 23.16 readout in the 200m to grab bronze...As a junior, she was named the Miami Herald Girls Track Athlete of the Year after winning state titles at 200 and 400 meters...Season bests of 23.31 and 53.14, respectively, at the 2006 Broward County Championships ranked her fastest in the state and fifth in the nation...Battled through a difficult senior season yet still earned second-team Miami Herald All-Broward honors in the 100m (11.69) and the 200m (23.62).

PERSONAL: Brittany is enrolled in the College of Social Work at the University of Tennessee...She has three siblings, including DeToya Jordan, 22; Sharonda Jones, 18; and Tamera Brown, 13...Brittany S. Jones was born in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., on March 6, 1989...Her mom is Maryann Riggins.
