SENIOR (FALL 2006): Concluded the fall campaign with a 6-2 singles record and a 1-1 mark in doubles play...Got off to a good start, claiming the second flight title at the St. Mary's Classic, defeating Georgia's Kelley Hyndman in straight sets, 6-1, 6-4...Added a runner-up finish in flight two at the Furman Fall Classic as well...Advanced to the Round of 32 at the ITA Southeast Region Indoor Championships in Chapel Hill, N.C.
JUNIOR (2005-06): Claimed 2005-06 EdAmerica All-Star Athlete of the Year honors after completing the season with a 14-21 overall singles record and a 16-15 tally in doubles...Played 17 matches from the top singles position...Faced a total of 16 ranked opponents on the season, more than any other player on the team...Combined efforts with fellow classmate Blakeley Griffith at the No. 2 doubles spot for the entire dual match season, posting a 13-10 record...Was named Southeastern Conference Player of the Week (Jan. 31) after recording a perfect 4-0 weekend, including a win over No. 29 Hala Sufi of Purdue, 6-1, 3-6, 6-3, for the best victory of her career and her first over a ranked player in 2005-06...Won her first doubles match of the fall at the St. Mary's Classic, teaming up with freshman Stephanie Harris for an 8-3 victory over Agustina Arechavaleta and Neils Barringer of North Carolina State...The duo finished fourth in the second flight...After falling in her first two singles matches, got back on track with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Furman's Laura Giola...Teamed up with Samantha Orlin to beat Penn State's Dorothy Dohanics and Andreea Niculescu, 8-6, en route to a fourth-place finish at the Furman Fall Classic...Finished third in second-flight singles with a win over Furman's Lauren Osborne, 6-3, 6-1.
SOPHOMORE (2004-05): Finished a squad-best 27-11 in singles play, including a stellar mark of 19-5 in dual meet action...Picked up first team All-SEC accolades as a result...Concluded the campaign with a final ITA ranking of 104th...Compiled a record of 5-3 at the No. 3 spot, while she finished the year 14-2 in the fourth slot...Went 3-3 against ranked opposition...After starting the dual season with a 0-1 mark, Jones came out victorious in the next 10 matches...One of those triumphs came against Brianne Knue of Illinois, in which Jones won the final match to be completed in three sets, 0-6, 6-4, 6-1, to clinch the victory for UT, 4-3...History repeated itself in the Big Orange's 4-3 win at Ole Miss, as Jones earned a dramatic comeback 3-6, 6-3, 6-3 victory in the final match...Defeated Erin Katims of Boston University, 6-2, 6-3, to put away the Terriers in the first round of the NCAA Tournament...Had a successful fall campaign, winning the flight three doubles title at the St. Mary's Classic, joining forces with Blakeley Griffith...Also secured an individual title at the event by toppling Griffith to claim the flight three crown.
FRESHMAN (2003-04): Made a smooth adjustment to collegiate tennis, compiling a singles record of 25-11 to rank third on the team...Was a staple in UT's singles lineup at the No. 5 and 6 positions, where she had records of 9-4 and 11-2, respectively...Put together a team-best 10-match win streak from Feb. 27 to March 28...Lost only four games in UT's first two NCAA Tournament matches, downing Wisconsin's Teresa Gonzaga, 6-2, 6-1, and North Carolina's Kendrick Bunn, 6-0, 6-1...Her match against Vanderbilt's Annie Menees in the round of 16 went unfinished...Named to the SEC Freshman Academic and Lady Vol Honor Rolls.
