BELGRADE, Serbia - Competing in her second event of the 2009 World University Games, Lady Vol rising junior Martina Moravcikova finished seventh in her preliminary heat of the 200m breast on Wednesday at the Tasmajdan Sports Rec Center.

Representing the Czech Republic, Moravcikova clocked a career-best time of 2:34.89 in the event, but did not advance to the semifinals.

A two-time NCAA Championships qualifier for the Big Orange, Moravcikova is scheduled to appear in one more event, the 50m breast on Friday, at the World University Games.

Moravcikova's Lady Vol teammate, Michele King, is also in Belgrade, competing for the U.S. team. King is scheduled to race in the 50m free on Friday. The rising senior already won a gold medal as a member of the Team USA 400m free relay on Sunday. Additionally, Lady Vol head coach Matt Kredich is serving as an assistant coach for the U.S. Team at the Games.
