NATIONAL/INTERNATIONAL: Earned a spot on the U.S. team for the 2009 World University Games by tying for first place in the 50m free in a career best 25.22 at the U.S. Open in August...Also set a career-best in the 100m free (56.03) in the preliminaries before placing sixth in the finals at the U.S. Open...Finished 10th, nearly making it to the finals, in the 50m free (25.43) at the 2008 U.S. Olympic Trials...Also placed 45th in the 100m free (56.33) and 92nd in the 100m breast (1:13.54) at the Trials...Swam for the United States at the 2007 Pan American Games in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil...Placed ninth in the semifinals of the 100m free in 57.14...Helped the USA take gold in the 400m free relay by competing on the preliminaries squad that claimed first and finished in 2:45.76... HIGH SCHOOL: Was the No. 1-ranked high school swimmer in the nation as a junior in the 50y and 100y freestyle...Was the national high school swimming champion in both events...Was named the Pennsylvania Swimmer of the Year in 2005 and an all-state honoree from 2003-05...Owns the state records in the 50 and 100y free...Swam with Spring Grove High School for three years and still holds every single swimming record at the school.
