KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Lady Vol Softball Co-Head Coaches Ralph and Karen Weekly will welcome in 225 participants from nine states for this weekend's annual Tennessee Christmas Camp. The two-day event over Dec. 18-19 will be primarily hitting focused and is scheduled to run from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. each day at Stokely Athletics Center and the Neyland-Thompson Sports Complex on the UT campus.

Camp instructors will represent six colleges, seven summer league teams and eight Tennessee high school programs. Overall, there will be 72 athletes aged either 16 or 17 in attendance at the event.

"We are really pleased to be able to work with so many talented youngsters and expose them to our style of coaching, our campus and our indoor facilities," said Lady Vol Co-Head Coach Ralph Weekly. "We are also happy that several high school and collegiate coaches we work with will be able to teach at our camp. We look forward to a great weekend."

Tennessee's 2005 softball campaign is set to begin on Friday, Feb. 4 at the Clearwater Invitational in Clearwater, Fla., with a noon matchup scheduled against McNeese State.
