By Brian Davis, Assistant Media Relations Director WEBB AND RENFROE CHOSEN TO THE 2010 WCWS ALL-TOURNAMENT TEAM KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - For their outstanding efforts in helping lead Tennessee within a game of the best-of-three championship series during the recently completed Women's College World Series in Oklahoma City, Okla., senior first baseman Erinn Webb and freshman pitcher Ivy Renfroe have been chosen to the WCWS All-Tournament Team. A native of Hemet, Calif., Webb was 1-for-2 with a two-RBI double in the 9-0 (5 inn.) victory over #3 Arizona and followed that up by blasting a grand slam during the third inning to help UT race past #9 Georgia, 7-5. Renfroe, a product of Jackson, Tenn., fired a complete-game, three-hit shutout with six strikeouts against #3 Arizona and followed that up by striking out a personal career-high-tying 10 Bulldogs during the triumph over #9 Georgia. ELLEN RENFROE NAMED TENNESSEE GATORADE SOFTBALL PLAYER OF THE YEAR Tennessee Lady Vol softball signee Ellen Renfroe, prepping to arrive at Rocky Top in the fall of 2010, has been chosen as the Gatorade State Player of the Year for Tennessee. The 5-10 pitcher, sister of current UT standout Ivy Renfroe, recently wrapped up an outstanding high school senior campaign that saw her post a staggering 40-2 record from the circle with a sterling 0.15 ERA and 545 strikeouts over 271 innings of work while helping lead Trinity Christian Academy (Jackson, Tenn.) to its fourth Class A Tennessee State Softball Championship in the last five years. After dropping a razor-thin 1-0 decision in their state tourney opener to Chattanooga Grace, Renfroe and her squad rebounded to race through the loser's bracket, winning six straight games by a combined score of 33-1 to pick up the title.
