AS A FRESHMAN (2011): Played in 19 of UT's 22 matches in 2011 (514 total minutes)...Registered a goal for two points on seven total shots, four on frame, in 2011...Drew 55 minutes as a sub during the initial NCAA Tournament action of her career in the 3-0 loss to Ohio State (11/12)...Was on the pitch for 29 ticks of the clock in both Tennessee's 2-1 SEC Tournament quarterfinal win over Kentucky (11/2) and the 2-0 loss to Auburn (11/4) in the semis...Played 45 minutes at LSU (9/30), 51 minutes at Arkansas (10/2), 36 minutes versus Mississippi State (10/9), 11 minutes at Kentucky (10/14), 32 minutes at Vanderbilt (10/16), 33 minutes at Alabama (10/20), eight minutes versus #22 Auburn (10/23) and 21 minutes at Georgia (10/29)...Saw her first SEC action by receiving four minutes off the bench during the 4-2 win over #6 Florida (9/25)...Registered the first goal of her collegiate career at 78:02 via a volley from 10 yards out to finish off the Big Orange's 5-0 rout of Charlotte (9/9)...Was credited with a shot on goal in a career-high 34 minutes of action during Tennessee's 2-0 win over Middle Tennessee (9/2)...Received playing time in the midfield during UT's victories at Kansas (8/19) and Oklahoma (8/21) as well as during the 1-0 upset of #18 Texas A&M (8/28)...Played 29 minutes versus the Aggies while registering a shot on goal.
HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB: Krause ventured to Tennessee having played club soccer year-round for the Eclipse Select 92/93 soccer program...She helped guide her ES 92/93 squads to a 2011 ECNL Club National Championship, 2009 Disney Select Showcase Championship, five consecutive Illinois Youth Soccer Association (IYSA) State Cup crowns (2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011), three straight Region II Semifinal berths (2007, 2008, 2009), back-to-back United States Youth Soccer Association (USYSA) Midwest Regional League titles (2006, 2007) and the 2006 Washington Area Girls Soccer League (WAGS) Tournament Championship...Was also a member of the Illinois Olympic Development Program (ODP) State Team in 2007 & 2008...Despite not playing soccer for Joliet Catholic Academy because of her club obligations, Krause did star for her high school in track, becoming the first athlete in school history to qualify for the 400-meter dash in the Girls Illinois High School Association (IHSA) State Track & Field Championships...She qualified for the 400 meters at the state championships over three consecutive years in 2008, 2009 and 2010 and was both all-conference and the Joliet Catholic Academy track MVP in the 400 in '08.
PERSONAL: Currently enrolled in the College of Arts & Sciences at UT...Hopes to attend medical school and become a physical therapist following her playing career...Krause's father was a punter on the football team at Western Illinois from 1985-1989, and as of 2011, owned the Missouri Valley Conference career records for total punts (277) and punting yardage (11,313)...Among a staggering 16 of her former teammates who have gone on to play collegiate soccer are Sammy Scofield of Notre Dame and Oklahoma's Kelly Price...Has one brother Adam, 11...Alexia E. Krause was born January 19, 1993, in Winfield, Ill....Her parents are Michael and Martha Krause.
