SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Racing in the NCAA Championships Petite Final for the second consecutive year, the No. 6 (CRCA/US Rowing) Tennessee Lady Volunteer varsity eight shell finished in second place on Sunday to post UT's best performance at the national-title event with an overall eighth-place finish. The Tennessee crew of Molly Oellerich [cox.], Kaitlin Bargreen, Lauren Wells, Rachel Mayberry, McKenzie Craig, Dana Forbes, Chelsea Pemberton, Andrea Bagwell and Beth Schwartz, completed the course in 6:26.26. Brown was victorious in the race, finishing just ahead of the Big Orange in a time of 6:24.65. The Lady Vols defeated Michigan (6:29.67), Southern California (6:31.71), Stanford (6:31.71) and Washington (6:34.36). Brown and Tennessee opened the race one-two, with UT just a second and a half off the pace after the first 500 meters.
