"Kelly has grown consistently through the fall as a leader within the group. As a second year coxswain, Kelly still has quite a bit to experience and to learn. There is no question, however, that this process is underway. As she develops her style and raises her personal expectation level, she will become a coxswain the team depends on to get where we need to be."

AT TENNESSEE:

FALL 2005: Directed her crew to two fourth-place finishes in the Championship 8+ and Championship 4+ events at the Chattanooga Head Race...Led the Championship 8+ shell to a gold medal at the Head of the Tennessee...At the Rivanna Romp, the coxswain earned a 10th-place showing in both the Championship 8+ and the Championship 4+ at the Rivanna Romp...

2004-05: Began her career at Tennessee as a member of the Novice 8+ crew...Led her team to seventh place at the Chattanooga Head Race and eighth place at the Head of the Tennessee Regattas...Coxswain for the 12th-place crew at the Rivanna Romp...Started the spring with the second N8+ shell that finished second against Minnesota...In the lone Novice Eight race against Louisville, she piloted UT's third-place boat...Moved to the top N8+ crew for the regional meets...Led team to a second-place showing in the petite finals of the Southern Intercollegiate Rowing Association Regatta...Helped squad close out the year with a win in the Aramark Sprints/NCAA Central and South Regional Novice 8+ Petite Finals...

Graduated with honors from Oak Ridge High School in 2004...Named in Who's Who Among American High School Students in 2003 and 2004...News editor of the school newspaper...Received the Presidential Gold Award in 2002 and 2003 and the Silver Award in 2000...
