GLENN ON PAYNE:

"Katie has many tools needed to be a threat to the competition and an asset to the program. In order to continue supporting her team, Katie can be one of those players who - in other sports - 'wants the ball.' In rowing, we call it an open door. Some athletes see the door open and walk through it, and others stand to the side and let others go through the door to the other side. Katie recognizes the door is open and that she has the opportunity every day to be the one who walks through. What will make all the difference for Katie and her teammates is to decide to walk right through the door."
