AT TENNESSEE: FALL 2010: Coxed her shells to two medals during the fall season...Began the fall with a bronze medal in the Collegiate 8+ and a gold medal in the Collegiate 4+ at the Chattanooga Head Race...Recorded a 16th-place finish in the eights at the Head of the Hooch Regatta on Nov. 6.

2009-10: Coxed the Novice 8+ boat throughout her inaugural season at Rocky Top...Led her boat to a fifth-place finish in the petite final of the 2010 Aramark South/Central Sprints...Also posted a fifth-place finish in the A final of the SIRA Regatta on April 17...Recorded second-place finishes against Dartmouth and Alabama on March 27.

HIGH SCHOOL:Graduated from Daniel Hand High School in Madison, Conn...Played softball and ran indoor and outdoor track for DHHS...Served as softball captain during her junior year...Had a role in the school production of The Wiz

PERSONAL: A nursing major at Tennessee...Chose Tennessee because of its nursing program, school spirit and rowing program...Aspires to be a pediatric nurse working in oncology after college...Has three older siblings, Christi, 26, Amy, 26, and Andy, 24...Ashley Ann Fichthorn was born on July 4, 1991 to Nancy and Phillip Fichthorn.
