AT TENNESSEE: FALL 2010: Finished ninth in the Collegiate 4+ at the Chattanooga Head Race...Took home a 21st-place finish in the Collegiate 8+ at the Head of the Hooch Regatta on Nov. 6.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Lakota West High School in West Chester, Ohio...Graduated with a perfect 4.0 GPA...Was named an Elite Athlete Academic Scholar...Member of the National Honor Society, Latin Club, Math Club, Student Government Association, Senior Board, Impact 21 Leadership Program and Down Syndrome Association...Was a four-year letterwinner in swimming at Lakota West, where she set three school records...Helped lead her school to the state meet in 2008 and 2009.

PERSONAL: Majoring in Animal Science with a minor in Biology...Chose Tennessee because of her love for the south and its strong academic programs in her areas of interest...Wants to open her own veterinary clinic...Enjoys volunteering, coaching and spending time with friends and family...Has one brother, Jarred, 22...Chose UT over Clemson, Kentucky and Georgia...Paige Taylor Austin, daughter of Claire and Michael Austin, was born on Jan. 10, 1991, in West Chester, Ohio.
