AT TENNESSEE: FALL 2010: Opened her college career with a sixth-place finish in the Collegiate 8+ at the Chattanooga Head Race...Also a member of the C8+ shell which finished 16th at the Head of the Hooch regatta on Nov. 6.

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Plant High School in Tampa, Fla., where she Received three varsity letters in rowing...Helped lead her team to regional championships in 2009 and 2010...Won the state championship in 2009...Was a member of the Zeta Service Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Students Against Drunk Driving.

PERSONAL: Enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences...Enjoys playing music and the beach when she's not rowing...Has played the piano for 12 years and lists that as one of her hobbies...Has five high school teammates rowing collegiately at various schools...Chose Tennessee over UMass and Fordham...Has two older sisters, Alexandra, 24, and Alyssa, 22...Taylor Angelica Athan, daughter of Dee Ann and Stephan Athan, was born on April 3, 1992 in Tampa, Fla.
