SportSouth Announces UT Basketball TV Schedule

SportSouth, the exclusive regional cable and satellite rights hold of Vol Network programming, today announced its 2008-09 University of Tennessee men's and women's basketball telecast schedule. SportSouth will televise four men's and four women's games, with an additional five men's and five women's games airing on its sister network FSN South. SportSouth reaches more than 9.1 million cable and satellite providers across six states, and FSN South reaches more than 12 million cable and satellite households in seven states. University of Tennessee basketball coverage on SportSouth tips off on Saturday, November 15 with a women's game against San Francisco at 1 p.m. ET and a men's contest against in-state foe Chattanooga at 7 p.m. ET. Both the men's and women's telecast schedules feature four non-conference match-ups and five SEC conference games. University of Tennessee basketball coverage on SportSouth will also include a 30-minute men's basketball preview show, reviewing the 2007-08 season, looking ahead at the 2008-09 campaign and featuring a one-on-one interview with head coach Bruce Pearl. The University of Tennessee College Hoops Preview will debut on Saturday, November 15 at 9 p.m. ET on SportSouth with additional airings scheduled for November 16 at 9:30 p.m., November 21 at 8 p.m. ET and November 22 at 7:30 p.m. ET. Additionally, SportSouth will televise nine 30-minute episodes of The Bruce Pearl Show and The Pat Summitt Show, as well as a 30-minute SEC women's basketball preview show hosted by Beth Mowin and Debbie Antonelli. Viewers should check their local listings in November for telecast times. FSN South, the nation's largest regional sports network, is available in approximately 12.4 million households in seven states in the Southeast, while SportSouth. SportSouth reaches more than nine million cable and satellite homes across a six-state region.
