SUMMITT ANNOUNCES DEPARTURE OF TWO LADY VOLS

KNOXVILLE, TENN. --- Pat Summitt, University of Tennessee Head Basketball Coach, announced today that that two Lady Vol players had elected to leave the program.

"Sybil Dosty and Lindsey Moss have decided to leave the Lady Vol basketball team," said Summitt. "We wish them success in all of their future endeavors."

Dosty, a 6'3" sophomore center from Tucson, Arizona, played in 35 of 36 games this season and averaged 10.3 minutes per game while contributing 2.9 ppg and 2.9 rpg. For the second consecutive season, she was the team's most accurate shooter from the field connecting on 61.5 percent of her shots (40-65).

Moss had just completed her rookie season. A 6'1" guard from Alpharetta, Ga., Moss appeared in 28 games and averaged 2.0 ppg and 0.7 rpg.






#33 Sybil Dosty - SOPHOMORE - 6'3"- CENTER - TUCSON, ARIZONA

TENNESSEE 2005-06: For the second straight season, Dosty led the team in field goal percentage (61.5)... She scored a career-high 12 points against Army in the first round of the NCAAs on March 19... Tied the team-best eight rebounds against Arkansas... Added seven points, two steals and an assist in just 15 minutes of action against the Razorbacks... Tied a then-career-high in field goals made against Mississippi State, connecting on four of her five attempts in just 11 minutes of action... In five minutes of playing time against Connecticut, Dosty scored six points, grabbed four rebounds and stuffed one Huskie attempt... Named the Philips Player of the Game at Temple after a nine-point, six-rebound performance against the Owls... She added two assists and a steal in 18 minutes of action... Came off the bench for a season-high 28 minutes of action against Princeton... Scored eight points, grabbed nine boards and recorded a career-high two steals against the Tigers... Came off the bench for eight points and tied a career-high in rebounds (11) in just 16 minutes of action against Chattanooga... 2004-05: Connected on 56.5 percent of her shot attempts... Her field goal percentage was the best on the team... Played in 27 games... Registered a career-high three blocks to go along with seven rebounds and four points in the NCAA Tournament opening-round win versus Western Carolina... Equaled a career high with 11 rebounds in the triumph against Kentucky... Came up big in the comeback victory over DePaul, recording her first career double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds in just 14 minutes of action off the bench... Earned the Phillips Player of the Game honors for her effort.

#21 Lindsey Moss - FRESHMAN - 6'1"- GUARD - ALPHARETTA, GA

TENNESSEE 2005-06: The only true freshman on the team last season, Moss spent much of the year nursing a fractured nose which she suffered against first against Mississippi State on Jan. 15 then again against Alabama on Jan. 29... Returned to the court against Vanderbilt on Feb. 12, her first action since surgery repaired her nasal fracture on Feb. 3... Having a career night, 3-for-3 from beyond the arch for a career-high nine points against Alabama before breaking her nose in the first half... Scored eight points on 3-of-4 shooting from the field against Old Dominion... Dished out a career-high five assists against Princeton... Added four points and two boards against the Tigers... Drained her first bucket of the game, a three pointer that gave Tennessee a 30-point lead over Texas... Finished the Texas game with five points, two rebounds, two assists and her first career steal... Connected on both of her three-point attempts against Michigan State, including one as the clock wound down... Scored six points and dished out three assists in just 11 minutes against Chattanooga... Her only bucket of her collegiate debut was a three-pointer against Stetson... Added two assists and two blocks against the Hatters.
