The win tonight...

  • Improves Tennessee to 4-0 on the season, 3-0 versus ranked Pac-10 opponents in the past week.
  • Gives UT head coach Pat Summitt a career record of 917-177.
  • Extends the Lady Vols' streak of wins over the Cardinal to 11 and gives UT a 19-4 lead in the series.

Tennessee Notes...

  • The 77 points were the fewest scored by the Lady Vols this season
  • All Lady Vols who played scored
  • UT missed only one free throw, shooting at a 94.7 percent clip.

Candace Parker...

  • Sank her first three-point attempt of the season
  • Recorded her second dunk of the season, her first career dunk against a ranked opponent
  • Was the first of two Lady Vols to reach double-figures.
  • Eclipsed the 20-point plateau for the third straight game and the 13th time in her career.
  • Surpassed 700 points for her career
  • Recorded five blocks, tying for the 10th-most in a single game by a Lady Vol. She now has 93 for her career, moving past Tiffani Johnson (89) and Cindy Noble (91) into 10th place in the Lady Vol record books.

Stanford Notes...

  • Stanford is now 2-2 for the first time since the 1999-2000 campaign
  • Stanford has suffered two losses in November for the first time since an 0-3 start in 1998-99
  • Jayne Appel's 23 points and five rebounds were both career-highs
