Notes...
- Drake's 14 first-half points tied for the ninth fewest by an opponent in UT history. SEC foe Alabama managed only 14 opening-period points on Jan. 3 earlier this season. It has happened nine other times in program history.
- Tennessee went on a 25-0 run to open the second half. Ten of those points came from Shannon Bobbitt in the first five minutes.
- Drake's last first-half points came on a Lauren Dybing three-pointer with 2:21 left in the period. The Bulldogs did not score again until a free throw by Monique' Jones' with 10:30 left in the game, a scoreless span of 11 minutes and 51 seconds.
- Drake's 37 points tied the fewest scored against UT in an NCAA Tournament game
- Drake's 12 field goals are the fewest made against UT in an NCAA Tournament game

FIRST ROUND GAME #3 NOTES
University of Tennessee vs. Drake University
- First meeting ever between Tennessee and Drake
- Tennessee opens play in its 26th consecutive NCAA Tournament
- Tennessee is the only team in NCAA history to garner an invitation to every NCAA Tournament.
- This is the 18th time Tennessee has earned a number one seed. Tennessee's 18 number one seeds are the most in NCAA history. Tennessee is now 93-19 in NCAA Tournament games under head coach Pat Summitt
- Tennessee is now 39-0 in NCAA first and second round tournament games. They are now 5-0 in neutral site first and second round games.
- This is Drake's 10th appearance in the NCAA Tournament. It's the first appearance since the 2002 season.
- Drake is now 6-10 in NCAA Tournament play, with their highest finish in 1982 when they advanced to the Elite Eight. In their last appearance in 2002, they posted two victories over Syracuse and #7 Baylor before falling to South Carolina.
