HIGH SCHOOL: Considered one of the top players in the state of Texas and one of the most highly recruited players in the country during her senior year at South Grand Prairie High School...In her final season at South Grand Prairie High School, Ashley was rated as the number one senior and top overall prospect by the Blue Star Index...She's a two-time Parade All-American as well as a member of the USA Today All-America first team...Made the Street & Smith All-America first team and was labeled both a WBCA and Nike All-American...Member of the Orlando Sentinel All-Southern Team along with the three other UT signees...Participated in the 2000 edition of the L'adidas High School All-America game held in Knoxville...Texas 5-A All-State first team member and District MVP for the 1999-00 season in which she averaged 15.8 points and 11.3 rebounds over 35 games...Tallied 1,989 points and 1,486 rebounds during her career at South Grand Prairie High School for an average of 15.1 points and 11.3 rebounds per game...Awarded District Defensive Player of the Year award as both a sophomore and junior while averaging 14.1 and 17.7 points per season, respectively...Four-time basketball all-district selection...A multi-sport standout, Ashley played four years of volleyball, where she was on two district championship teams and was a member of both the softball and track squads.

NATIONAL/INTERNATIONAL: She was a member of the 2000 United States Women's Junior World Championship Qualifying Team, where she was the team's fifth leading scorer, third-leading rebounder and top shot blocker at the COPABA Women's Junior World Championship Qualifying Tournament, July 26-30, 2000...Averaged 8.4 points and 5.2 boards per game while swatting away 10 shots as her U.S. squad won five games in five days to take the gold medal in Mar Del Plata, Argentina...Participated in AAU basketball on local and national levels for the Texas Freedom, being named MVP of the SWAAU Regional Championship and leading her squad to a third-place finish at the AAU National Championships in 1999.
PERSONAL: Ashley is majoring in public relations at Tennessee...Involved in community affairs at home, Ashley was a member of the Student Empowerment Team (SET) and Students Gaining Power (SGP), where she served as a role model for youth and in helping better her school...She was a member of the National Honor Society at South Grand Prairie High School...Lists former Lady Vol standout and 2000 Naismith Player of the Year Tamika Catchings as her biggest sports influence...Ashley is the middle of two sisters - Rashonda, 24, and a younger sister, Katrina, 18, a freshman at the University of Texas...Ashley Khristina Robinson was born on Aug. 12, 1982...Her parents are Kenneth and Kathleen Robinson.
