AS A SENIOR (2004-05): UT's returning All-American...Is once again projected as an All-America selection and SEC standout...Listed on both the 2005 Wade Trophy and women's Wooden Award watch lists for 2005 Player of the Year honors... Returns as the leading scorer and rebounder for the Lady Vols...Is on track to move into the Lady Vol Top 10 Career Lists in no less than seven categories (FGM, FGA, FTM, FTA, points, rebounds and rebound average)...Starts her senior year ranked 22nd in career points (1,170), 20th in rebounds (694) and 11th in rebounding average (6.7 rpg).

AS A JUNIOR (2003-04): Shyra enjoyed a breakout campaign as a junior...Led her team in 10 statistical categories...One of two Lady Vols to play and start all 35 games...Averaged 14.5 ppg, 8.0 rpg, 1.5 apg and 1.3 spg...Logged an iron-woman 30.1 minutes per contest...Scored double-digit scoring in 29 games and double-figure rebounding in 11 tilts...Recorded 10 double-doubles on the season...Has now registered 16 career double-doubles as a Lady Vol...Went over the 1,000-career point plateau at Vanderbilt on Feb. 15, 2004, on her final bucket of the game...In a six-game span from Feb. 19-Mar. 6, she went on a tear and averaged 20.8 ppg and 9.5 rpg...Hit for big numbers against Georgia in the SEC Tournament for the second time in her career...Shyra tossed in 27 points and claimed a dozen boards...As a rookie, she tagged the Lady Bulldogs for 31 points in the SEC Tourney...Earned a plethora of honors as a junior -- Selected to the 2004 NCAA All-Midwest Regional Team...Named a Kodak All-American...Tabbed as Third Team All-America by the Associated Press...Was a unanimous selection to the Coaches All-SEC Team and the Associated Press All-SEC Team...Was a finalist for the Naismith Player of the Year...A two-time SEC Player of the Week (Dec. 1-7 and Jan. 20-26).
AS A SOPHOMORE (2002-03): Shyra played in 36 games and earned eight starting assignments...Coming in off the bench, she still averaged 9.8 ppg and a team best 6.6 rpg...Turned in 19 games of double-figure scoring to go along with four double-doubles...Tallied an amazing 16 points in 17 minutes against Arkansas...Missed mid-season games against Florida and TCU after suffering an injury to her right knee...Immediately after she was back in action she connected in double-figure scoring in nine of the next 11 games...During that stretch she recorded a monster game at Kentucky with a season-best 18 points and 17 rebounds...Registered 12.3 ppg and 7.3 rpg (six games) in some outstanding 2003 NCAA Tournament play...Shyra was named to the 2003 NCAA Mideast Regional All-Tournament Team...In just the first two NCAA games of 2003, she had personally bettered all of her totals for five games in NCAA play as a rookie...Selected as a third team All-America by the Women's Basketball News Service.
AS A FRESHMAN (2001-02): As a rookie, Shyra quickly showed that she was a play-making forward whose scoring ability worked from both the post and perimeter...Played in 33 games and started in 22...Became a rare Lady Vol rookie starter as she tossed in 16 points versus Chattanooga in her Orange and While debut...In all, she tallied 16 games in double-figures...Her rebounding prowess was an immediate strength for the Lady Vols as she grabbed extra-digit boards twice...Overall, she averaged 9.3 ppg and 5.4 rpg while logging 21 minutes per contest...Led UT in scoring six times and in rebounding 10 times as a rookie...During the toughest portion of the Lady Vols' schedule, she turned in five games of back-to-back double-figure efforts...The 2002 SEC All-Rookie team member turned in a magical game versus Georgia in the SEC Tournament and had solid numbers in both games played... Averaged 21.5 ppg and 10.0 rpg in her first SEC Tourney...In the 81-67 win over the `Dawgs, Shyra tossed in a career-high 31 points while grabbing 11 rebounds...Her numbers were staggering...She connected on 10-14 field goals (71%), 11-12 free throws (91%), hauled in seven offensive and four defensive rebounds...With her 31-point outburst, she became just the second freshman all-time (joining Tamika Catchings) as the only rookies to have a 30-point-plus games in her first season as a Lady Vol...Kept the magic going in the NCAA Tournament...In the NCAA Midwest Regional semifinals, she tossed in 21 points and grabbed seven rebounds against BYU..."Ms. Instant Offense" scored 12 straight points and 18 of UT's total of 23 points at one juncture in the first half...Was named the NIKE Player of the Game by ESPN...Shyra's outstanding play earned her a spot on the NCAA All-Midwest Regional team.
