Lady Vol Athletic Training Bios

MICHELE ECKES ATC/LGraduate Assistant Athletic Trainer
|
Michele Eckes is in her first year in the Lady Vol training room and will be
working with the rowing program. The Sykesville, Md., native earned her
bachelor's degree in sports medicine from High Point University, North
Carolina in May 2002. While at High Point, she also successfully completed
internships with training departments at the university, a local high school
and with Greensboro Sports Medicine and Orthopedics. Eckes is pursuing a
master's degree in exercise science with a concentration in
biomechanics/sports medicine.

TIM LENTYCH ATC/LGraduate Assistant Athletic Trainer
|
Tim Lentych is in his first year as a Lady Vol athletic trainer with the
swimming and diving teams. The South Bend, Ind., native earned his bachelor
's degree in applied sciences and technology with a concentration in
athletic training from Ball State University. While at Ball State, Lentych
worked with women's basketball, men's volleyball and field hockey as well as
interned with the Baltimore Orioles throughout the spring and summer of
2001. Lentych is now working towards a master's degree in sport management.

MELISSA MONTGOMERY ATC/LGraduate Assistant Athletic Trainer
|
Melissa Montgomery joins the Lady Vol Athletic Training staff this year and
will be working with the softball team. She earned her bachelor's degree in
sport sciences with a concentration in athletic training at the University
of the Pacific (Stockon, Calif.) in 2001, where she also competed on the
women's soccer team for four years. While at Pacific, the Southern
California native worked with the men's basketball, softball and field
hockey teams as well as served as the head athletic trainer for the
California Storm, a semi-professional women's soccer squad. Montgomery is
now pursuing a master's degree in sports medicine and biomechanics.

AUTUMN PLYMPTON-CROMPTON ATC/LGraduate Assistant Athletic Trainer
|
Autumn Plympton-Crompton is in her second year in the Lady Vol training room
and works with the track and field program. The Branson, Mo., native earned
her bachelor's degree in sports medicine and athletic training from
Southwest Missouri State University in May 2001. As part of her athletic
training education at SMS, she completed a variety of rotations with the
teams on her own campus, a local high school and a sports medicine clinic.
At UT, she is pursuing a master's degree in exercise science with a
concentration in biomechanics/sports medicine.

ELIZABETH ZANOLLI ATC/LGraduate Assistant Athletic Trainer
|
Elizabeth Zanolli is in her third year as a graduate assistant in the Lady
Vol athletic training room and will work with the volleyball team. A 1999
graduate of Chapman University with a bachelor's degree in movement and
exercise science with an emphasis in athletic training and physical
education, Zanolli spent a year as the head athletic trainer at University
High School in Irvine, Calif. The Southern California native is pursuing her
master's degree in biomechanics/sports medicine.
