Strength and Conditioning Coach


Heather Mason enters her 11th year in the strength and conditioning profession and her fourth year as the head strength and conditioning coach for the women's athletics department, responsible for the Lady Vol strength, speed and conditioning programs. A graduate of the University of Cincinnati, Mason also earned a master of education degree in sports administration from Xavier (Ohio) University in 1998. She is certified by the National Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association. The Wheelersburg, Ohio, native came to Tennessee after a five-year stint at the University of Notre Dame and two years at her alma mater, Cincinnati.

COLLIN SCHLOSSER

Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach


Collin Schlosser is in his fourth year as the assistant strength and conditioning coach for the women's athletics department. His responsibilities include creating and implementing strength, speed and conditioning programs for the Lady Vols. A 2000 graduate of Miami (Ohio) University with a bachelor's degree in exercise science, Schlosser also earned a master's degree in developmental kinesiology from Bowling Green State University in 2002. A native of Napoleon, Ohio, he has been certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association and the National Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches' Association.

DANIEL SHAMBURG

Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach

Daniel Shamburg is beginning his first year as Assistant Strength Coach for the women's athletic department. He graduated in 2003 with a degree in business administration from the University of Tennessee, and is currently finishing his master's degree in exercise physiology at Tennessee. Daniel has worked with women's strength and conditioning for two years as a student assistant. Coming from Nashville, TN, Daniel is certified through the National Strength and Conditioning association.

JESSICA KINDER

Strength and Conditioning Grad. Asst.

Jessica Kinder joined the Lady Vol strength and conditioning staff as a graduate assistant in June 2005. Kinder earned her bachelor's degree in both psychology and computer science from the University of Notre Dame, South Bend, Ind., graduating with magna cum laude honors. Kinder also competed on the Irish volleyball team throughout her undergraduate studies at Notre Dame, and served as team-captain her senior year. At UT, the Fresno, Calif., native is currently working for a master's degree in sports management.

KRISTEN KINDER

Strength and Conditioning Graduate Assistant

Kristen Kinder is in her second year with the Lady Vol strength and conditioning staff as a graduate assistant. Graduating Sum Cum Laude from the University of Notre Dame, South Bend, Ind., Kinder received her bachelor's degrees in both computer science and sociology. While completing undergraduate studies, Kinder was a setter for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish volleyball team. The two time captain, Kinder earned many, university, Big East, and All-region honors. At UT, The Fresno, Calif., native is pursuing a master's in sports management
