UT Varsity Outdoor Courts
The Varsity Courts at the UT Tennis Stadium allow for a convenient and complete practice and competition site.
Now in its 24th season of use, the UT Tennis Stadium has been completely renovated and continues to be one of the most consummate collegiate complexes in the country. The site of the Lady Vols' home outdoor matches, it has recently served as the site of the 1991 SEC Women's Tennis Championships and the 1992 ITA/Rolex Southeast Region Championships.
The stadium and courts, built in 1976 on the west edge of the main campus along Caledonia Street, feature permanent seating for 2,500 spectators, six Lykold surface courts and overhead lights, which were added in 1987 thanks to a donation by former Vol great Paul Annacone.
Just behind the bleachers is a two-story structure, which houses concession stands, restrooms, equipment rooms and meeting areas on the first level. Covered booths, one for radio and television, and additional space for the media comprise the second level.

Tennessee Indoor Tennis Center
In its continuing efforts to enhance and upgrade the quality of its women's athletics teams, the University of Tennessee introduced the UT Indoor Tennis Center as its newest state-of-the-art facility. The Lady Vols previously used the Knoxville Racquet Club, a private club west of campus, as their indoor facility for tournaments and home matches.
With its completion in the spring of 1997, the University of Tennessee Tennis Center became the exclusive indoor practice and competition facility for both the Tennessee women's and men's teams. It also serves as the new office complex for the coaching staffs of the Lady Vol and Volunteer tennis teams.
The UT Indoor Tennis Center features four Decoturf surface courts, permanent seating for 500 spectators, women's and men's locker room facilities and public rooms and facilities. The three-story structure is located adjacent to the outdoor UT Varsity Courts, on the corner of Caledonia Avenue and 20th Street.
Other features of the building include a conference room, a Hall of Fame room and a public address system. The complex also contains a laundry room, training rooms and a racquet-stringing room.
The Indoor Tennis Center, in addition to the outdoor UT Varsity Courts, gives the Lady Vols one of the most comprehensive and sophisticated all-around tennis complexes in the nation.
